are the basis upon which bookings are accepted by Tahiti Discount Travel. ]
VALIDITY: January 2008 to December 2008
DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & PRICING:
- A non-refundable
deposit of $200 per person is required to hold reservation at the time
of booking.
- Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
- Deposit guarantees reservation, NOT the price.
- The payment of deposit or any partial or full payment for a reservation, shall constitute consent to all provisions stated on this terms and conditions of Tahiti Discount Travel.
- Deposits and payments may be made by check or credit card.
- Cash/check payment
entitles customers a 3% discount to the package price (other form of payment such as credit card waives the the 3% discount).
- All fares and prices stated in the final itinerary are subject to increase due to current tariffs , and exchange rate of US dollar vs Euro dollar as of June 30, 2008. Any such changes will be passed onto the passenger in all other cases which will be added to the final payment.
However, once FULL payment has been received, quoted prices are guaranteed.
- Deposit to pay international air tickets in full, only guarantees air seats & airfare. The land package price may increase due to the exchange rate between US dollars
vs Euro dollars. If such increase occurs, passengers will be notified 2 weeks in advance
to settle the remaining balance before a supplement is imposed.
- All prices quoted by Tahiti Discount Travel are in US dollars and which includes costs that are associated with planning, communication and documentation. To comply with the industry standards, package itinerary pricing are not subject to an itemization of costs.
Note: Returned checks under any circumstances due to bank fees and additional
processing, a $40 fee will be charge to clients for each check returned.
Exceptions: Some airlines , exclusive resorts and activities/excursions have
different deposit and payment requirements and conditions, you will be advised
by Tahiti Discount Travel at the time of booking. These requirements will be
added to the those laid out herein.
Airline
tickets (Air only bookings): The airfare where we based the package from are discounted coach class
or economy fare. A full payment of the tickets are required immediately after the booking has been made to guarantee pricing, tickets will be issued once full payment is received. At high season or if upgrade to business class – a supplement applies. APEX rules require that tickets will be issued 14days prior to departure with 30days maximum at the destination. Airline imposed a high penalty fee if cancelled or if tickets issued after the ticketing deadline date. If airline tickets are purchased outside Tahiti Discount Travel (eg. tickets acquired from mileage program or outside services), all penalties and charges are subject by the airline
or the company where you purchased your tickets – fees at your own expense.
Airlines , its agents and affiliates are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft.
Once a passenger ticket is issued by said airlines, it shall constitute only a
sole contract between the passenger/purchaser of these tickets and the airline.
The flight schedules herein are subject to change without prior notice, please
call the airline 72hours prior to departure time and on the day of travel to reconfirm flight times.
Further, the responsibilities of air carriers are in accordance with international
agreements and tariffs.
Seasonal
Air and Land Supplements: All quotes with airlines and hotels vary widely in season. During the holiday
season, most 5 star resorts have mandatory Christmas and New Year’s eve
Meals added to the accommodation.
Airlines from time to time imposes increase on the fare due to
Fuel surcharges (increase of gas price) , this also applies to departure airport
Taxes which fluctuates regularly. Please inquire at the time of booking for
Applicable charges.
AMENDMENTS:
A modication fee of $50 will be applied for each change made after the initial
booking request has been confirmed (this includes changing travel dates, hotels, room category and excursions) this is before tickets and documents are issued. This fee will
be waived if the client is upgrading to a higher room rate or adding an excursion or meals
to the package.
Once tickets and documents are issued , a fee of $100 per change for travel vouchers (hotels, transfers and excursions ) will be applied to expedite processing and ensure prompt delivery of your new travel documents, in addition, a change fee for issued airline tickets –most airline charges a penalty fee of 35% of its published fare for reissue of tickets (subject to airlne’s terms and conditions).
LATE RESERVATIONS (Last minute bookings):
There is no additional surcharge for late bookings. A full payment is required at the time
of booking. Credit card payment only (exception , if time allows, overnight cashiers check or money order is acceptable). Express traceable delivery service of your tickets
And documents extra cost will apply.
CANCELLATIONS:
Please submit a detailed written cancellation notice either via fax, email or letter to
Tahiti Discount Travel. The deposit of $300 per person is automatically
non-refundable, once the trip has been confirmed and before airline tickets and vouchers are issued. Cancellation received within the 30-day period prior to the travel date, airlines, hotels and other vendors may impose penalty fees, which will be passed on to you on top of the non-refundable deposit.
Note, this includes the most airline cancellation penalty 35% of the published fare , some promo fares, tickets are non-refundable and some resorts unused discounted rooms are non-refundable.
Once travel has commenced, any changes and cancellations will be at your own expense. Note: Most resorts charges a one night cancel fee and some discounted airline tickets are non-refundable. We highly recommend to purchase travel insurance to cover these cancel fees.
REFUNDS:
Outside the non-refundable deposit, Tahiti Discount Travel will process
refunds (remaining balance after total deposit has been deducted)
if cancelled 30 days or more before tickets and vouchers are issued.
If less than 30 days and airline tickets and vouchers were issued and
shipped to you, more penalties may
apply due to the hotels and airline cancellation fees, which will be imposed
to you. A normal refund procedure can take 4 to 6 weeks.
Once the trip has started, any changes or cancellation during
your trip will be at your own expense. Upon your return home,
to request refunds due to these changes for unused hotel stay, transfers , excursions and other services. Unused meals are non-refundable.
(Airline return date change at your own expense).
Your refund request should state the reason of the change and has to be accompanied by a signed statement from the service supplier -management. This refund request should reach our office within 30days after your trip. Your request of refund will be reviewed and verified, this is
a case to case basis basing on the nature of the reason of the change and in compliance with the airline, hotels and our ground operator.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
- A valid passport is required to enter Tahiti, French Polynesia.
- US and Canadian
citizens do not require a visa, if the duration of the trip does not exceed 30 days.
- Other citizens should consult your nearest French Consulate.
- Passport should be valid for six months outside the return date.
- It is solely the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that all documents needed are in order and current.
PACKAGE PRICE INCLUDES:
Accommodations in the itinerary are based on double occupancy per person
(unless mentioned otherwise, such as single or sharing 3 persons), all roundtrip
transfers, baggage handling, inter-island transportation and government tax
and VAT are included. Tahiti Discount Travel reserves the right to amend the
itinerary order and accommodation when it is necessary basing from the condition of the properties or due to any unforeseen circumstances.
NOT
INCLUDED (ON THE ITENARARY PRICING):
- travel insurance
- meals
- beverages
- long distance calls / phone calls
- excursions (except where indicated on the itinerary)
- car / scooter / bike rentals
- laundry
- lost personal items or baggage
- personal injuries or sickness which results to medical attention or cost
- excess baggage charges,
- cost of passports / visas
- bed tax in French Polynesia
- US departure Tax
- US Federal and Agricultural Inspection fees or any other services (not mentioned on the itinerary)
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
We highly recommend to purchase travel insurance to cover your trip. An insurance policy to cover loss of deposit through cancellation, high
penalty fees imposed by airlines / hotels due to cancellation, emergency
to return home due to a sick family member, cancellation due to
personal injuries / sickness or family member and death, etc., and lost personal
Items/ baggage.

provides to clients/passengers are on the basis of information received
from various service suppliers. The standards of the hoteliers and other
services are based on factors which are generally accepted standards,
Tahiti Discount Travel, does not represent or guarantee the standard
and condition of that accommodation or any services of those indicated
on the final itinerary, therefore should not be held liable. Maps are
not necessary to scale and some information could have changed from
the time when they were printed.
The airlines, hotels and other service suppliers are provided with their
own terms and conditions. All bookings/ arrangement with Tahiti Discount
Travel therefore are subject to their terms and conditions. Tahiti Discount
Travel as a company, its agents and employees, act only as agents to
provide services to passengers to travel by road, air, sea or any means
of transportation or local conveyance, and are not liable for personal
injury, accidents, property damage, loss, delays/irregularity or death
at all times. This includes instances if any person or tour provider
which results to negligence or any air carrier, hotel or person engage
in conveying the passenger, rendering any of the services, including
renting car, scooters, sports equipments etc. or rendering any of the
services or accommodations being offered in these tours. All losses
or expenses must be borne by the passenger. We highly recommend purchasing
travel insurance for your protection.
Tahiti
Discount Travel reserves the right to change hotels of an equivalent
or better standard due to availability or any unforeseen circumstances
(such as fire, flood, storm damage etc). Also, in the event of a change
of itinerary due to factors or conditions beyond control, such as strikes,
political and social unrest, labor problems, climatic aberrations or
any act of God, there will be no credit, nor refund will be given to
clients/passengers, however due to the change an alternative will be
offered such accommodations and services of comparable quality and standards
as set forth on the final itinerary. The right is also reserved to decline
to provide services or to retain any person as a member of a trip, or
to cancel a trip or part of due to events/situations beyond the control
of Tahiti Discount Travel. Prices quoted are in US dollars at the time
of booking which are based on current exchange rate of Euro dollars
and Pacific Francs. Prices are subject to adjustment without prior notice.
In the event of a considerable increase of exchange rate, such change
will be passed on to the passengers/clients. We recommend paying full
payment upon booking to guarantee the price quoted.
Tahiti Discount Travel, as a company, its agents and its employees,
act solely as an agent. All arrangements are provided by air carrier,
resorts and other service providers are on their own terms and conditions,
therefore it cannot be held liable for any of those providing services
in this final itinerary. Tahiti Discount Travel should be exempt from
all liability for losses or additional expenses which results from detention,
delay, damage, loss, sickness, injury or death, also includes unforeseen
circumstances including strikes, war, quarantine, climate aberrations,
any act of God or whether directly or indirectly caused by any service
provided or a service provider or any property used or utilized by a
service provider.
